Id have to ask IS to compile all new versions. Since I only have the above MS programs/versionĪvailable to me at work, I'm still unsure what I'd be able to do if the Chrome option wasn't present. , which perfectly emulated IE for me and allowed me to import my list with NO OTHER HASSLE.

Using Chrome, I literally had to install one extension -a few clicks- that was it! This page references a Chrome Ext called "IE Tab" I did another Google search and found a better woirk-around than I could have hoped for.

When attempting to do this, I received this error: "The list cannot be imported because a Microsoft SharePoint Foundation-compatible spreadsheet application is not installed or is not compatible with your browser." I had a previously exported SharePoint List, and all I wanted to do was simply import the file and generate a new list (via "Manage Content and Structure > New > List > Import Type).
